Professional Development and

Continuing Education

Construction practices are always evolving, and Grace understands the importance of staying current with the industry.

Her focus is on the building science aspect of construction, and she takes an integrated design and construction approach to work with clients, consultants and trades to achieve high-performance building goals practically and economically.

Also, BC Housing requires that all licensed builders obtain Continuing Professional Development credits each year to maintain their licenses.  There are many offerings and opportunities available to builders, and Grace looks forward to these sessions:

CHBA Vancouver Island holds monthly breakfast meetings for builders
CHBA BC offers quite the assortment of courses and webinars
Blue House Energy focuses on building science education

Construction Specifications Canada (CSC) has lunch-and-learns with various presenters and topics, and they also have certification courses

Grace obtained her Certified Construction Contract Administrator (CCCA) certification through CSC, and is working on her application for her Applied Science Technologist (AScT) through ASTTBC.
